What's the Programme about?

In recent years, home-stay has become a popular choice of accommodation for free and easy travelers. The programme will introduce the different types of guesthouses from different countries as well as the lifestyle and culture there...

The hosts will get "up close and personal" with the owner of the guest house and participate in his/her activities. The hosts will learn that the owners have given up mainstream careers and devoted all their time into this business. They will touch viewers with their passion and perspective towards life.

剧情Synopsis

国外旅客来到新加坡，总是对本地的美食赞不绝口，令辣椒螃蟹、海南鸡饭这一道道本地佳肴扬名海外。你有没有想过，当这些本地美食漂洋过海之后，在不同国家的厨艺文化影响下，食物的味道会有什么改变？

《万里香》是由谢宛谕、周崇庆、李国煌和陈汉玮主持，他们在节目中分别到了多个不同国家寻找“移居”当地的新加坡美食。海南鸡饭、辣椒螃蟹、叻沙，椰浆饭等国人熟悉的著名美食，到了国外肯定会受到各地取材的限制、厨师的烹调手法、或者当地人口味的影响，而有或多或少的改变。节目每一集将以一道美食为主题，看看它在不同国家到底变成了什么样。

《万里香》寻访的目的地方包括东京、北京、上海、三藩市、孟买、加尔各答、阿德莱德、伦敦和曼谷。除了到当地的餐馆品尝本地美食，主持人也去了超级市场看看那里是否售卖本地美食所需的材料，甚至还到居民家中的厨房，看他们如何准备我们喜爱的新加坡美食。

An all-new variety programme, makes its way around the globe to bring viewers at home, Singapore Flavours, the way they are appreciated abroad and how these flavors are attuned to foreign taste buds.

These favoured cuisines such as chilli crabs, Hainanese chicken rice, laksa and nasi lemak, are great reflection of our multi-racial heritage and have been greatly enjoyed by overseas populace. The four lively hosts - Fiona Xie, Dennis Chew, Mark Lee and Chen Hanwei, play food detectives and take off individually in search of these migrated delicacies.

Be it at eateries, restaurants, home kitchens or supermarkets, the hosts scoop and taste the popular dishes that thrive across different continents. These places include Tokyo, San Francisco, Beijing, Shanghai, London, Mumbai, Calcutta, Adelaide and Thailand. Cuisines are found to have morphed with different culinary cultural influence to suit the different palates of the overseas residents.

A Brand new travel show on Channel 5!
