SINGAPORE : A Princess has left the Hill. Singaporean actress Fiona Xie has reportedly relinquished her crown and quit showbiz.

According to a Singapore Chinese daily, Xie, 27, has officially resigned from MediaCorp.

This comes as no surprise as resignation rumours had been circulating since the first half of the year. And the actress' last minute withdrawal from upcoming Channel 8 blockbuster “Together” - she had "urgent personal matters" to attend to - only fuelled speculation further.

While Xie did not emerge to make any clarifications about her shocking withdrawal, she continued working, jet-setting to Tokyo and Los Angeles to host a food programme.

Filming has since completed and Xie has gone MIA (missing in action) once again.

Celebrity hairstylist David Gan who learnt about Xie’s resignation two weeks ago, said many artistes choose to leave because the opportunities for growth and development here are limited.

“I was very sad when she broke the news to me, after all it is difficult for an artiste to make her mark here. Though I can’t bear for her to go, I want her to be happy and wish her the best,” said Gan.

新传媒“七公主”之中的“性感公主”谢宛谕，最近工作量递减，又辞演重头剧《当我们同在一起》，似乎对新传媒已经心无恋栈。

据了解，谢宛谕日前已经正式提出辞呈，离开新传媒。

谢宛谕月前辞演重头剧后，去了加拿大度假，之后将前往东京和洛杉矶拍摄综艺节目《万里香》。她已经拍完了所有的内容，行踪目前成谜。

本地著名美发师颜天发告诉记者，本地娱乐圈的发展空间小，所以艺人才会想要离开，他在两个星期前就已经知道谢宛谕辞职的消息。

“她告诉我这个消息时，我非常心痛，毕竟一个艺人要冒出头来，其实很难。不过，虽然我舍不得，但只要她开心，我就会祝福她。”

贵为公主的谢宛谕，过去半年竟没有工开，让她气馁得向退出娱乐圈。

谢宛谕去年只拍了8频道的《一房半厅一水缸》，之后就“销声匿迹”。她最近在媒体上曝光，也只是因为和某男星亲嘴的花边新闻，而不是介绍新作品。

性感宝贝最近接受中文杂志访问时说：“我来新传媒，最开心的事是可以离开。”似乎在暗示自己就快“收山”。
没有遇到好剧本

谢宛谕也说，她到现都还没看到一个能感动她的剧本。她甚至批评华语戏剧制作很赶，但赶来赶去也都是一样的故事。

对于好剧本总看不上她，谢宛谕说：“我在这里很不开心，没有人注意我做什么，每个人都只注意我的缺点。没有人记得我曾经带给他们的快乐。我觉得我累了，我想走。”

谢宛谕透露，她已经半年没有回去公司，也明白这对艺人来说，确实是不太妙的事。

她无奈地说：“我能怎么样呢？是你的就是你的，不是你的就不是你的。”

经理人：谢宛谕忙5频道工作

谢宛谕的经理人表示，谢宛谕目前是“5频道面孔”，因此主要的演出都在5频道，若是8频道有戏剧邀约，也需要先看谢宛谕手头上有没有5频道的工作。

经理人说，谢宛谕去年其实有几部戏剧邀约，只可惜都和5频道的节目撞期，因此无法参与演出。

据经理人指出，5频道的工作方式和8频道有所不同，5频道拍戏没那么赶，3个月可能拍13集，但是8频道却可能在3个月里拍20集。

所以经理人认为，谢宛谕可能还没适应这两个频道不同的工作方式，才会觉得自己似乎很空闲。
许振荣：退出太可惜

谢宛谕之前上许振荣主持的《玩游世界》，一样活泼开朗，看不出异样。

许振荣觉得，每个艺人都有沉静的一面，他相信谢宛谕即使不开心，也不容易流露给他人看。

“谢宛谕是一个样貌出众又可爱的女生，即使站在一旁也会发光，所以适合在娱乐圈发展，退出的话会有点可惜。”

但他觉得每个人都有自己的长处，所以如果她真的决定出去闯，相信也能闯出一片天。
颜添发：未尝不是好事

谢宛谕两个星期前才找颜添发做头发，颜添发说，她还是一样开心。

但颜添发觉得，要是谢宛谕累了，想休息一下也未尝不是一件好事。

“谢宛谕又性感又可爱，现在在新加坡演艺圈没有人有她的特质，因此无法被取代。”

颜添发说，要是谢宛谕决定要休息，她可以趁休息期间多充实自己，好好保养自己，回来后也许会更发光发亮，只需要一个好剧本，就能再次走红。
